woo first post
ok so, this post is about Jessica Pratt’s album “On Your Own Love Again”. Jessica Pratt is honestly just so good. i listened to her more popular songs, like Moon Dude, Back Baby, and Poly Blue. definitely already made their way into my playlists. But honestly, listening to this whole album was such a great experience. her voice can only be described as warm and angelic. definitely a bit reminiscent of Sibylle Bair, with a bit more of a folksy tone (in the best way possible). maybe even Fleetwood Mac in their earlier days?? their future games era?? off topic: but that is an excellent album, do yourself a favor and check it out. back to Jessica Pratt though…. my one comment is that a lot of her music sounds the same, but I dont think that’s a bad thing at all. if anything, it makes her have even MORE of a beautifully distinct tone. however, towards the end of the album it was feeling a bit redundant. overall, I give it an 8.5/10.
