music i'm listening to

my first real introduction to Blood Orange, also known as Dev Hynes, was when he opened for Harry Styles. hearing his music live was a spiritual experience, if I do say so myself. the only song I knew of his was Charcoal Baby, which is just such a beautiful track itself, so it was a nice surprise to see that the rest of his music measured up. i wanted to get into more of his music, so I’ve been listening to his album “Angel’s Pulse”. This album is honestly fabulous, and I cannot get enough of it. the dreamy instrumentals, combined with all of the amazing features really pull this together and make it such an incredible piece of art. my favorite feature on this album has to be Arca’s, on “Take It Back”. perhaps I’m a tad bit biased, since I love Arca so much, but the point still stands!!!!!!! he’s able to combine so many unique and transcendent melodies in this album to create more of a nuanced lo-fi piece of work. Overall, 9/10. 🙂 k bye
